Biography

Andrea Dittmann studies the sources and solutions to inequality within organizations and communities. Her research stream examines how to intervene to create a level playing field for individuals from working-class origins. Additionally, she investigates how to improve relationships and trust between employees in oppositional occupations, such as police and communities they serve. Her findings have been published in top academic journals, including Nature Communications, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. Before joining USC, Dittmann was on the faculty at Emory University's Goizueta Business School. She earned her PhD in Management and Organizations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
