Biography

Andrea McCrady is an Adjunct Professor and Performance Instructor in Carillon at Carleton University. She has a Bachelor of Music magna cum laude from the University of Denver and began playing the carillon in 1971 while pursuing her B.A. at Trinity College in Hartford, CT. McCrady has participated in postgraduate studies in carillon in Europe, focusing on schools in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. She has also practiced family medicine and coordinates carillon programs, including a significant tenure at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Spokane, WA. Since joining Carleton's faculty in 2012, she has been an integral part of the carillon studies program in Canada. Her contributions to the field are widely recognized, including serving on the board of the Guild of Carillonneurs in North America and the World Carillon Federation, where she has presented at numerous congresses. McCrady's dedication to the art of carillon continues to leave a lasting impact on her students and the broader musical community.
