Dr. Andromachi Athanasopoulou

Biography

Andromachi Athanasopoulou is an Associate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Previously, she served as a research fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, Harvard University, and a junior research fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. Her expertise lies in qualitative research, leadership development, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility. She has authored numerous book chapters and articles in leading peer-reviewed journals and has published a book with Oxford University Press. Andromachi is on the editorial review board of the Academy of Management Learning & Education and the Change Management Journal. She has received various scholarships and awards from the Academy of Management and the British Academy of Management. In addition to her extensive teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education levels, she is a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy. Andromachi holds an MBA and MSc in Management Research, and a DPhil in Management Studies from the Saïd Business School. She also holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Before her academic career, she worked in banking. Her research focuses on how leaders' behaviors are influenced by their social contexts, emphasizing personal leadership development and the impact of top management career trajectories, executive coaching, gender leadership, and ethical leadership, particularly in the context of corporate social responsibility.
