Biography

Andy Hargreaves is an international writer and researcher in education, particularly known for his work in educational change, leadership, and teacher development. He has served as the Past President of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement and was an adviser to the Premier of Ontario from 2015 to 2018. Hargreaves currently acts as an advisor to the Minister of Education in Scotland and has been influential in advising on educational reforms and initiatives. Additionally, he founded and directs CHENINE, a national Canadian collaborative center focused on change, engagement, and innovation in education, which coordinates research and technological infrastructure to create impactful curriculum changes. Through his extensive career, Hargreaves has advocated for innovative educational practices that support equity and excellence in learning environments across various educational systems.
