Biography

Andy Mason is a Professor at the University of Warwick's Department of Politics and International Studies (PaIS), where he has been since 2012. He has previously held academic positions at the Universities of Southampton, Reading, Hull, St Andrews, and Oxford. Mason has published several works, including a recent book titled "What's Wrong with Lookism? Personal Appearance, Discrimination, Disadvantage." His research interests focus on contemporary political theory, particularly normative theories of citizenship, equality of opportunity, and theories of justice. This work examines cultural diversity and the varying degrees of equality of opportunity and social cohesion affecting successful integration in the UK, Hungary, and Norway.
