Dr. Ann Marie Pendrill

Biography

Ann-Marie Pendrill is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Gothenburg, where she has made significant contributions to both physics education and computational atomic physics. Between 2009 and 2019, she served in a dual role at both the University of Gothenburg and Lund University while also directing the National Resource Centre for Physics Education. Her research interests have recently shifted towards science education, focusing on how learning occurs in diverse environments such as classrooms, playgrounds, and science centers. Pendrill has expressed a special interest in physics teaching methods that incorporate experimental learning and the use of technology to enhance student engagement in physical sciences. She has published extensively in the field, including a notable book titled "Physics Whole Body" which was released in 2021.
