Dr. Ann Bygholm

Biography

Ann Kathrin Meilandt Bygholm is a professor in the Department of Communication and Psychology at Aalborg University. Her research focuses on how people adopt and adapt technologies in their everyday work practices, as well as the role that technologies play in facilitating collaboration, knowledge sharing, and learning in specific contexts. She approaches her work from a qualitative perspective, with primary expertise in health informatics, and has increasingly turned her attention to the use of learning technologies in higher education. Bygholm is particularly interested in the challenges posed by systems and infrastructure that mediate activities in work practices, contributing to understanding their impact on human-computer interaction and organizational learning. She is involved in various research projects that address complex issues including health, communication, and education, often linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
