Dr. Annalisa Mosca

Biography

Annalisa Mosca is a Senior Lecturer in the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University, specializing in Language Pedagogy and Technology. With a Doctorate in Modern Languages from Middlebury College, she coordinates the Beginner Intermediate Italian Language Sequence. Annalisa has transformed various courses, including creating and leading the 'Trieste Summer Abroad' program, which provides a multicultural experience for Purdue students to study Italian abroad. She is involved in numerous roles at Purdue, including serving as a language examiner and chair of the SLC Lecturer Committee. As an enthusiastic advocate for collaborative learning, she has implemented the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project, focusing on Art Identity at the intermediate level. Annalisa was appointed as an IMPACT Faculty Fellow in 2018, where she received a grant to redesign the Italian curriculum, integrating active intercultural learning and technology. Her contributions extend to the American Association of Teachers of Italian, where she served as Midwest Representative and member of the SAT Italian Committee. A dedicated educator, she frequently presents at conferences and workshops, sharing her innovative pedagogical approaches.
