Dr. Anuschka Schmitt

Biography

Anuschka Schmitt is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at the London School of Economics. Her research primarily examines how AI-based systems can augment human work and enhance individual decision-making. She places special emphasis on conversational AI and utilizes laboratory and field experiments along with digital trace data analysis methods. Anuschka's work has been published in various respected outlets, contributing to the field's understanding of the intersection between human-computer interaction and artificial intelligence. She holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen. Before joining LSE, Anuschka worked as a research fellow in the Computer Science department at Harvard University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and was involved in a data analytics startup in Paris, France. Her expertise includes human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, work augmentation, judgment and decision-making, as well as experimental methods.
