Biography

Anwen Zhang is an applied microeconomist with primary research interests in health and education economics, alongside secondary interests in labor and demographic economics. Her work explores how policies, institutions, and individual behaviors interact to shape health, education, and social and economic outcomes. Anwen joined the University of Glasgow in 2019, previously holding research positions at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Cambridge. Her current research encompasses topics such as mental health determinants, school inputs and outputs in education, and the effectiveness of health policies among different demographic groups.
