Professor Dr. Ariel Lindorff

Biography

Ariel Lindorff is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on educational effectiveness, improvement, and equity in various educational settings, including pre-school, primary, and secondary education. He employs advanced statistical methods and mixed methods approaches to evaluate educational interventions. Ariel completed his DPhil at the University of Oxford's Department of Education and possesses Qualified Teacher Status in the UK. Before embarking on his research career, he worked as a secondary mathematics teacher in the USA from 2006. He is also a Chartered Statistician with the Royal Statistical Society, holding a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Hunter College, City University of New York. Ariel has been involved in numerous funded research projects, including studies on teaching perceptions, anti-bullying programs in special schools, and the impact of COVID-19 on learning outcomes. He is currently conducting research in collaboration with various organizations, such as the Education Endowment Foundation and the Nuffield Foundation, to enhance educational practices and outcomes across different levels.
