Dr. Armand Smits

Biography

Armand Smits is an Assistant Professor at Radboud University, specializing in Organisational Design and Development. He holds a Ph.D. and has previously been affiliated with Maastricht University and Eindhoven University of Technology. His research focuses on the multilevel development and implementation of new standards, products, practices, and innovations to achieve institutional credibility and organizational robustness. He employs in-depth case studies and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to trace processes and identify various pathways of organizational change. His interests lie at the intersection of organization theory, innovation studies, and sustainability, emphasizing how these fields interconnect to shape effective organizational transformations.
