Dr. Arun Elias

Biography

Arun Elias is currently the Acting Head of the School of Management at Victoria University of Wellington. He has previously served as the Dean and Director of Rajagiri Business School, a business school located in Kerala, India that is accredited by AACSB and EFMD. He also held the position of Dean at the College of Business, Hospitality and Tourism Studies at Fiji National University in Fiji. Arun is actively involved in the business school accreditation space, serving as a mentor for AACSB and a panel member for EFMD and AMBA for schools seeking international accreditation. He is a member of the EFMD Programme Accreditation Committee and holds international board memberships, including being a Board Member of the Advisory Board at the School of Business, University of Wollongong, Australia, and the International Advisory Board of the Faculty of Economics & Business at the University of Maribor in Slovenia. Arun obtained his PhD in Management from Victoria University of Wellington and has two master’s degrees: one in Industrial Engineering Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and another in Agricultural Engineering from Allahabad University, India. Prior to joining academia, he worked at Tata Steel in India as an Industrial Engineer and has also contributed as a lecturer at Allahabad University and as an R&D Agro specialist in Sustainable Agriculture.
