Dr. Arvid Fromberg

Biography

Arvid Fromberg is a Senior Adviser at the Danish Technical University (DTU) specializing in scientific-based advisory research activities concerning organic process contaminants in foods. He is the Director of the European Union Reference Laboratory for Processing Contaminants, where his work involves assessing the dietary intake of contaminants such as furan and organochlorine pesticides. His expertise lies in analytical food chemistry, focusing on environmental contaminants and their implications for food safety. Fromberg has contributed significantly to national and international research efforts to understand and manage contaminants in food products, including the development of methodologies for assessing the presence and impact of these substances. He has been involved in multiple research projects, working with a network of collaborators to advance knowledge in food authenticity and safety.
