Biography

Baoyun Ge received the B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2012, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. He has worked at C-Motive Technologies, Inc., a start-up company pioneering the commercialization of electrostatic machines. In July 2022, he joined the University of Florida as an assistant professor before moving to the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research focuses on electrostatic machines and the establishment of multi-level connections between physics, circuits, and topologies as well as magnetostatic machines. He possesses extensive experience in analytical modeling and developing high-performance computational models. His work emphasizes the duality of electrostatic and magnetostatic machines, spearheading advances in multiphysics synthesis and addressing limitations of traditional intuition-based multiphysics design by leveraging advanced mathematical tools. Outside of his academic endeavors, Baoyun enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
