Biography

Belgin joined the Adam Smith Business School as a Lecturer in Human Resource Management in January 2017. Prior to this, she held lecturer positions at Stirling Management School (2014 - 2017) and University of Aberdeen Business School (2012 - 2014). Belgin is a trained work psychologist, having received her BSc in Psychology from the University of Nottingham and an MA in Industrial/Organisational Psychology from Koc University in Turkey. Her teaching and research encompasses work and vocational psychology as well as human resource management. Belgin's primary research interests involve understanding the experiences of individuals, particularly university graduates, as they navigate work and career progression. Her PhD research at the University of Strathclyde in 2013 focused on contemporary graduate careers, exploring job quality within the graduate labor market and the impact of early underemployment on career progression. Belgin is a member of the Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour research cluster, with expertise in youth employment, graduate labor market, university-to-work transitions, and employability. She also holds various professional memberships and has been involved in numerous academic and administrative roles at the University of Glasgow.
