Dr. Benedetto Lepori

Biography

Benedetto Lepori holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Lugano, completed in 2004. He is currently a titular professor at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and acts as the rector delegate for research analysis. He is also a senior researcher at the University of Paris Est and has served as an invited researcher at the Department of Management at the University of Bath. Lepori heads the Research Transfer Service at USI and specializes in the analysis of research policies, particularly concerning public research funding. He has coordinated the PRIME project and served as co-coordinator for the European Contract Joint Open Programs (JOREP). His academic research has extensively covered higher education indicators and governance. He is currently the coordinator for the European Tertiary Education Register (ETER) and the scientific coordinator for the H2020 project KNOWMAK, which aims to develop a European map of science and technology. His publications can be found in journals such as Organization Studies, Research Policy, Science and Public Policy, and Higher Education Studies, among others.
