Biography

Bernard Bempong is a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton. He obtained his PhD in Organisational Behaviour Human Resources Management from the University of Southampton in 2015 and holds an MPhil in Industrial Organisational Psychology from 1999. Bernard has also earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in 1993 from the University of Ghana and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Southampton. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Prior to his position at Southampton, he served as a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator for Human Resource Management Programmes at the Business School of Valley View University in Ghana from 2001 to 2009. His research interests focus on the influence of organisational factors on workplace performance and productivity, encompassing areas such as leadership, organisational commitment, organisational culture, organisational climate, national culture, organisational conflict, and employee performance. Bernard teaches a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules, specializing in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management.
