I am an Associate Professor at Utrecht University in the Department of Language, Literature and Communication. My research interests center around semantics, acquisition, and referentiality. I specialize in cross-linguistic variation and have a keen interest in language acquisition, leveraging corpus and experimental methodologies in my work. I have contributed to several projects, including the Time Translation project, under a collaboration that developed the Translation Mining methodology. In addition to my research activities, I am a member of the Knowledge Utilization team, where I advocate for the promotion of research at the intersection of language studies and language didactics. My expertise encompasses understanding how referentiality and tense/aspect operate across languages and how these can inform the fields of applied linguistics and literature.
