Dr. Bert Steenbergen

Biography

Bert Steenbergen is a professor at the Behavioural Science Institute of Radboud University, where he also serves as Vice Dean of Research for the Faculty Board. He holds the chair in Orthopedagogics, focusing on perception action problems, and investigates how individuals, particularly those with physical disabilities, are encouraged to remain active. His research particularly emphasizes the implications of acquired congenital brain damage on visual functioning and motor control. Steenbergen's work bridges the gap between science and practice, aiming to inform the development and improvement of monitoring rehabilitation programs for individuals who are blind, visually impaired, or motor disabled.
