Dr. Brad Alge

Biography

Brad Alge is an Associate Professor in the Management area with a focus on Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at the Purdue University’s Mitch Daniels School of Business, a position he has held since 1999. He serves as the Academic Director of the Larsen Leaders Academy and has been recognized as an award-winning scholar and teacher. His expertise lies in leadership, organizational control, creative performance, social networking, and virtual/distance work. Dr. Alge has significant experience with editorial boards for prestigious journals such as the Academy of Management Review and the Journal of Management. Before his academic career, he was a consultant at Accenture and has over 20 years of experience improving business processes and organizational culture for various companies including Pfizer, Whirlpool, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Dr. Alge is a proud member of the 1988 NCAA Division National Champion Football Team of Notre Dame and has authored research in areas such as virtual work, technology's impact on attitudes and behaviors, and organizational versus employee control. He teaches courses in Organizational Behavior and Change Management across various MBA programs at Purdue University, bringing both academic knowledge and practical experience to his students.
