Dr. Brad Shipley

Biography

Brad Shipley is a Clinical Professor at USC Annenberg, specializing in communication management. His teaching focuses on providing learning experiences that result in the practical application of communication theory and research. He utilizes a variety of pedagogical approaches and emphasizes experiential learning, having designed learning simulations and published articles in leading experiential learning journals. His current courses cover topics such as leadership, group communication, and persuasion. Shipley collaborates with a core group of faculty to teach capstone courses, guiding students through communication research methods to conduct their research projects. He earned his PhD in organizational communication from USC Annenberg. His current research employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to understand organizational justice in the workplace. Additionally, he has provided training and development consulting for organizations including the United States Peace Corps, Edwards Pharmaceuticals, and Westinghouse.
