Biography

Bret Shaw is a Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Life Sciences Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He specializes in planning and evaluating strategic communication campaigns related to natural resource management. Shaw holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from UW-Madison and has gained experience in strategic communication. Throughout his academic career, he has worked as a market research manager in the technology industry in Silicon Valley and has published in a diverse range of peer-reviewed journals, including Society Natural Resources, Journal of Environmental Psychology, and Conservation Biology.
