Dr. Bridget O Connor

Biography

Bridget N. O'Connor is a Professor Emerita at NYU Steinhardt, specializing in Higher Education Administration, Leadership, and Technology. Dr. O'Connor has extensively published in journals such as the Journal of Education Business and Informing Science, and has contributed numerous chapters to the NBEA Yearbook. She is recognized for her leadership roles in professional associations, including the Special Interest Group on Workplace Learning and the American Society for Training and Development, and has served as an editor and president of the Organizational Systems Research Association. A Fulbright Senior Specialist in Australia, she was honored with the John Robert Gregg Award for her lifetime contributions to Business Education, among other accolades. Her academic pursuits focus on preparing leaders for professional roles in postsecondary education, with courses that emphasize the development and management of organizational learning programs. O'Connor actively engages in curriculum development and has been involved in faculty governance at NYU Steinhardt, contributing to a range of committees and strategic initiatives.
