Biography

Carl Fahrenwald is a Clinical Associate Professor at Texas A&M University, specializing in educational administration. With over thirty-four years of experience in Pre-K to 12 public school education, Dr. Fahrenwald graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Doctorate in Educational Administration in 1999. His professional journey includes serving diverse Native American populations in various public school settings, as well as roles as a classroom teacher and rural school administrator. Dr. Fahrenwald's research and teaching focus on preparing school leaders, drawing from his extensive experience across five districts in different states, coupled with sixteen years in K-12 education and service as a rural district superintendent. He has also contributed to international education through his work with the U.S. Peace Corps in Malawi, Africa. Currently, Dr. Fahrenwald serves on the executive board of the Texas Council of Professors in Educational Administration (TCPEA) and is an affiliate member of the International Council of Professors in Educational Leadership. He is passionate about mentoring tenure-track faculty members through the STaR (Service, Teaching, and Research) program at Texas A&M.
