Biography

Carl Winsløw is a Professor in Mathematics at the University of Copenhagen. He completed his Cand.scient. degree in Mathematics at Odense University in 1991 and earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Tokyo in 1994. His academic career began as an Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen from 1994 to 1997, followed by a Research Associate Professorship in 1998. He became an Associate Professor at the Royal Danish School of Education in 1998 and moved to the Danish University of Education in 2000. In 2003, he took on the role of Full Professor with special duties and by 2007, he was appointed as a Full Professor at the University of Copenhagen. His primary research interests include Didactics of Mathematics and University Mathematics Education, focusing on Task Design and Lesson Study in Mathematics.
