Biography

Carmen Barreras Moreno is a Spanish Teaching Fellow at the University of Warwick's Language Centre. Originally from Spain, she moved to England in 2014 to improve her English skills. Carmen has taught Spanish in primary schools in Coventry since 2016 and became a part of the Spanish team at the Language Centre. With a background in both education and architecture, she decided in 2019 to focus on her passion for teaching Spanish. She completed her MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the International University of Valencia in 2020. As a native Spanish speaker, Carmen is also fluent in English and enjoys learning French in her spare time. She believes that learning a language should be a positive experience bolstered by motivation, games, and dynamic activities. Carmen is a certified DELE examiner for various proficiency levels and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2021.
