Biography

Carol Anne Gibbons Kroeker is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) at the University of Calgary, where she also holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Cumming School of Medicine, Department of Physiology and Pharmacology. With extensive academic training, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Pure Mathematics, followed by a Master of Science in Biomechanics and a Doctorate in Cardiovascular Physiology from the University of Calgary. Her post-doctoral research focused on Bio-medical Engineering with an emphasis on Cardiac Modeling. Carol has contributed significantly to teaching, particularly in Anatomy and Physiology courses. She has received numerous awards for her excellence in teaching and learning, including the Students Union Teaching Excellence Award and the University of Calgary Faculty Teaching Award. Her research interests include Cardiovascular Physiology and Mechanics, alongside Science Teaching Pedagogy.
