Dr. Caroline Schiller

Biography

Caroline Schiller is a Professor of Voice and Opera at the School of Music, Memorial University of Newfoundland. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Mount Allison University, a Master of Music from the New England Conservatory, and a Doctorate of Music from Florida State University. Schiller has an extensive performance background, having worked with companies such as the Banff Centre and the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival. Her concert performances have included notable appearances with orchestras and festivals. She is dedicated to training young singers and is a founding faculty member of the MUN Song Academy. Schiller has published works including an annotated bibliography focusing on Canadian women composers. Her students have progressed to reputable graduate programs across North America and Britain. With a passion for outreach, she founded Opera RoadShow, an initiative that aims to bring opera experience to young audiences throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
