Biography

Catalina Cuparencu is an Assistant Professor in Nutrition Health at the University of Copenhagen. Her core research focuses on the development of biomarkers for food intake and dietary assessment tools, striving to increase precision in nutrition studies. Dr. Cuparencu has extensive experience in metabolomics, particularly in conducting human intervention studies. She serves as a co-principal investigator (co-PI) for the Danish arm of the Shift2Health project, aimed at preventing obesity among shift workers. She is also involved in the HotFacets trial examining the effects of moderate alcohol intake. In addition, Dr. Cuparencu was responsible for metabolomics analysis in the PREVIEW project. She teaches courses in Bioactives Food Components Health and Metabolomics at the MSc level and supervises students in nutrition, metabolomics, and related fields.
