Biography

Catherine Bush is an Associate Professor in the School of Theatre, English, and Creative Writing at the University of Guelph. She is a published author of four novels, including 'Accusation,' 'Time,' 'Rules of Engagement,' and 'Claire’s Head,' and her works have been critically acclaimed and shortlisted for various literary awards. As a fellow at MacDowell Colony and Yaddo, she has also served as Writer-in-Residence at several Canadian universities. In 2019, she was a Fiction Meets Science fellow at Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg in Germany, where she addressed the climate crisis through fiction. Bush's research interests include contemporary literature, narrative form, and writing pedagogy, particularly in relation to climate fiction and imaginaries.
