Biography

Charles Lagreco is a senior faculty member at the USC School of Architecture, where he specializes in design methodology and professional practice within undergraduate and graduate architecture programs. He has taught as a tenured faculty member since 1980 and served as Associate Dean from 1997 to 2007. His research focuses on community design and urban development, exemplified by his involvement with the USC/Hybrid High School initiative in collaboration with the Rossier School of Education. Lagreco has co-chaired educational seminars at the Getty Museum and emphasized the importance of design/build experiences in architecture education. He is a founding principal of the Architectural Collective and has previously worked with CRS (now HOK), where he was lead designer on several award-winning projects, including the Progressive Architecture Design Award-winning Sunset Boulevard multi-use building. Lagreco holds a BA and MFA in Architecture from Princeton University and a Diploma in Architecture from Cambridge University, and he completed a post-graduate Fulbright Fellowship in Rome.
