Biography

Charlie Gilderdale is the Secondary Coordinator for the NRICH Project at the University of Cambridge. After receiving education in Argentina, he went on to become a Mathematics teacher and later the Head of Mathematics at a secondary school in Cambridgeshire. He began working at the University of Cambridge in 1990, initially within the Faculty of Education, where he focused on training mathematics teachers. Gilderdale is also a member of the Millennium Mathematics Project, contributing significantly to the NRICH Project. His recent work has centered around problem solving and creating opportunities for exploring and discussing school-level mathematics, with an emphasis on enriching the secondary curriculum.
