Biography

Charlotte Norrman is a Senior Associate Professor in Industrial Engineering Management with a specialization in Industrial Organization at Linköping University. She began her academic career with a focus on the development processes of new companies and has been actively engaged in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship since starting her PhD studies in 2003. Her research encompasses various areas including the evaluation of policy initiatives, biomedical engineering innovation, and invention-driven innovation. Norrman's current research includes working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to promote growth in both urban and rural environments. Additionally, she is involved with LiU Innovation, where she serves as an innovation coach to support the valorization of ideas and foster collaboration between researchers and business practitioners. Norrman has extensive teaching experience across the faculties of science and engineering as well as medicine and health sciences, focusing on challenge-based learning strategies that enhance pedagogy in entrepreneurship education. She actively participates in various scientific and pedagogical conferences and contributes to publications within her field.
