Dr. Chinelo Ezenwa

Biography

Chinelo Ezenwa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Memorial University of Newfoundland. She has a PhD and MA in English from Western University, an MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from London Metropolitan University, and a BA in English from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Her research interests include African, Black, and Caribbean Studies, as well as Decolonial and Postcolonial Studies. Ezenwa's focus extends to Community Cultural Studies, Black Music, Folklore, and Contemporary Films. Notably, she has published works in prestigious journals and has critically engaged with various literatures, exploring themes such as colonial missionization and indigenous literatures. Through her current research projects, Ezenwa examines the intersections of feminism and cultural identity, delving into topics like African folklore and the diasporic experience. Engaging actively with the academic community, she contributes to the discourse on representation and cultural narratives.
