Chris Müller obtained his MSc in Biology from Utrecht University in 2003, specializing in neuroscience. He spent a year at University College London working on perceptual psychophysics related to motion detection. His PhD thesis, completed in 2008 at Erasmus University Rotterdam and VU University, was entitled 'Uncertainty', which focused on testing models of statistically optimal cue integration in 3D vision using human psychophysics. Between 2009 and 2013, Müller worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute of Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music at Ghent University. His research topics included interpersonal synchronization, cognitive load, agency, and action perception coupling adaptation. In addition to his post-doctoral research, Müller taught summer schools on Systematic Musicology at Jyvaskyla University in Finland. Since 2013, he has been a senior lecturer in the Life Sciences department at Erasmus University College, responsible for coordinating courses in Systematic Musicology, Computer Science M, Computer Science P, Genes, Brain and Society, and Neuroscience.
