Biography

Christian Azar is a Full Professor of Physical Resource Theory at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. His research centers on strategies for climate change mitigation, involving energy systems modeling, technology assessment, and policy analysis. He has authored a popular science book titled 'Makten över klimatet', which has been translated into Chinese and English. Azar has served as a policy advisor to Swedish Prime Ministers and Environment Ministers from 2002 to 2014, as well as the EU Commissioner for Environment from 2001 to 2004.
