Biography

Christina Lee Yu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University. She completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017, following her MS in 2013. Christina also received her BS in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology in 2011. Prior to her appointment at Cornell, she held a postdoctoral position at Microsoft Research New England. Christina has received several accolades for her work, including the INFORMS Dantzig Dissertation Award (Honorable Mention) in 2018 and the Intel Rising Stars Award in 2021. Her research focuses on algorithm design and analysis, high-dimensional statistics, inference networks, sequential decision-making under uncertainty, online learning, and network causal inference. She has been recognized with grants from the National Science Foundation and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, highlighting her contributions to the field of operations research and information engineering.
