Biography

Christina Lee Yu is an Assistant Professor at Cornell University in the Department of Operations Research and Information Engineering. She completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2017, following a Master’s degree in the same field in 2013. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology in 2011. Before joining Cornell, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Microsoft Research New England. Her work focuses on algorithm design and analysis, high-dimensional statistics, inference networks, sequential decision-making under uncertainty, online learning, and network causal inference. She has received several prestigious awards, including the 2021 Intel Rising Stars Award and the JPMorgan Faculty Research Award in 2021. Her research is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.
