Biography

Christine Coulter is a faculty member specializing in organizational behaviour and human resources. She teaches courses on human resources, human capital management, and industrial relations in the Commerce and MBA programs. Her research interests include the complexities of employee relations, particularly the role of government in work regulation, employee rights, accommodations, and labor unions in Canada. Christine serves as the Chair of the Smith Academic Appeals Committee and holds various positions on Queen’s and Smith committees. Before joining Queen’s University in 2001, she worked as a project analyst at the Teachers’ Pension Plan in Toronto. Christine has an extensive academic background with a B.A. (Honours) and a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen’s University, along with a Master of Arts in Political Science from Western University. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and contributes to knowledge exams for the Human Resource Professional Association. Christine actively engages in writing teaching cases and has participated in workshops and conferences related to academic integrity and HR practices.
