Biography

Chris Saldaña is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in K-12 educational leadership policy analysis. His research examines the relationship between K-12 school finance and educational opportunities, with a particular focus on the educational experiences of minoritized and marginalized students. Saldaña employs multiple mixed methods in his research to explore these critical issues. He holds a PhD in Educational Foundations, Policy, & Practice from the University of Colorado Boulder, earned in 2022, as well as a Master’s degree in Economics from California State University Fullerton and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California San Diego. His work contributes to the understanding of educational policies and how they impact equitable access to quality education for all students.
