Biography

Claire Bossavit is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of French at Simon Fraser University. She obtained her Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language from the University of Stendhal in Grenoble, France. Claire taught French as a second language at the Alliance Française de Vancouver and the University of British Columbia for five years before joining Simon Fraser University in 2007. In her courses, she has notably developed the flipped classroom approach and created blended teaching materials that combine in-person and online learning, allowing for greater flexibility for students and maximizing their potential. She is also interested in project-based learning and mastery learning pedagogy.
