Dr. Clara Bouyssou

Biography

Clara Garcia Bouyssou is a Postdoc at the University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the Department of Food and Resource Economics (IFRO). Her research employs econometric and machine learning techniques to empirically investigate questions related to food markets, including food demand, food policy, and food waste. Clara has been involved in various projects, receiving funding from Fødevarestyrelsen and Velux Fonden. She has also served as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer for courses such as Advanced International Trade (MSc) and Econometrics (BSc). Clara holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Copenhagen, where she focuses on modeling future food demand scenarios influenced by income and demographic changes. Her educational background includes an MSc in Economics from Toulouse School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from the University of Santiago de Compostela. She has gained practical experience as a Junior Econometrician at the OECD's Environment Directorate and has been a visiting PhD student at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Through her research and collaborations, Clara aims to contribute significantly to the understanding of food economics and policies.
