Biography

Prior to joining academia, Constantin Alba worked as a software developer and founded and managed businesses in the entertainment, hospitality, and graphic design industries. He also freelanced as a consultant. In addition to teaching, he consults small businesses on operations and marketing strategy issues, mentors early stage entrepreneurs, and conducts research in the area of Behavioural Operations. His work applies behavioral theories to shed light on operations management phenomena. Consequently, his research crosses interdisciplinary boundaries between psychology, organizational behaviour, and operations. At Monash, he teaches subjects related to Innovation Management, Service Operations, Business Design, and Supply Chain Management.
