Corey Cusimano’s research investigates everyday metacognition, focusing on how people conceptualize, evaluate, process reasoning, form judgments, and make choices. He explores how consumers' values affect their methods of gathering and interpreting new information. His work delves into how consumers judge their beliefs and opinions and attempts to manage their emotions and desires. Additionally, Cusimano studies the relationship between morality and consumer behavior, examining what motivates consumers to volunteer and donate to charity, as well as how consumers evaluate corporate behavior. Before joining Yale School of Management, he was a postdoctoral scholar at the University Center for Human Values at Princeton University. Cusimano holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
