Dr. Craig Canfield

Biography

Craig Canfield is the Associate University Registrar focused on Faculty Support at Yale, with extensive experience in higher education administration. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Hope International University, a Master of Arts in Religious Ethics from Yale Divinity School, and an EdD in Educational Leadership Policy Studies along with a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Gender Studies from Southern Connecticut State University. His research interests encompass diversity, equity, and inclusion practices within leadership in higher education, as well as leadership theory and queer feminist theory. His dissertation, titled 'Paradox Queer Leadership: Leading Margins Higher Education', proposes a new leadership theory grounded in queer theory that centers inclusive practices to better serve diverse communities. With over 12 years of experience in administrative roles, Craig is dedicated to creating and implementing inclusive policies in academic settings.
