Dr. Cynthia Kuhrasch

Biography

Cynthia Kuhrasch is a Distinguished Teaching Faculty IV in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she has worked for over 20 years. As the Program Director for the Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program, she oversees curriculum development, assessment, and placement evaluation for student teachers. Her teaching experience spans all grades, from kindergarten to 12th grade, in public schools. Kuhrasch is known for creating partnerships between the university and local schools, such as St. James School, where she facilitates real-life teaching practice for university students. She has contributed to curriculum development both as a consultant for school districts and through her presentations at various educational conventions. Furthermore, she has authored articles in national educational journals and served on several university committees, including on the Executive Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Dance County. Her academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Human Performance and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, both from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
