Biography

Dalia El Khoury is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph, Canada. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Dietetics, a Master’s in Nutrition from the American University of Beirut, and a PhD in Physiology Physiopathology from the University of Pierre et Marie Curie, France. As a Registered Dietitian in Canada and Licensed Dietitian in Lebanon, she has served on editorial boards and has been involved in various consultancy roles within health affairs. Her research focuses on the regulation of appetite and food intake through functional ingredients and the impacts of nutrition-related disorders. El Khoury has published numerous articles on topics such as dietary supplements and nutrition education for athletes. Her current projects include the identification of novel biomarkers for metabolic syndrome and the prevalence of psychosocial determinants affecting dietary supplement use. Dalia is dedicated to mentoring students and encourages their active participation in nutrition-related conferences to foster professional growth in the field of nutrition education and research.
