Dr. Darren Meister

Biography

Darren Meister is an Associate Professor at the Ivey Business School of Western University, focusing on design thinking and technology-based entrepreneurship. He emphasizes the role of technology in enhancing organizational effectiveness, particularly within innovation processes. His research engages closely with practitioners and has involved consulting for notable global firms such as Accenture, Industry Canada, Intel, Royal Bank, and Siemens. Publications of his work have appeared in leading academic journals including Management Science and MIS Quarterly, and he participates actively on the Executive Board of CEMS, the Global Alliance in Management Education. Prior to joining Ivey, he offered his expertise at Queen's University and Carleton University, contributing to the Information Systems concentration of the Bachelor of Commerce program. He is a Rotary International Foundation scholar and completed his PhD at the University of Waterloo, Canada. His experience in both academia and industry enriches his insights into entrepreneurship education and research.
