Dr. David Cami

Biography

David Cami is the Faculty Executive Director at the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where he leads the business side of the faculty, contributing to strategic operational management. He is responsible for overseeing management plans and processes to deliver operational services that meet academic, research, teaching, and learning outcomes. David's leadership style is people-centered, encouraging staff to extend their day-to-day responsibilities, empowering them to grow in their roles and realize that powerful learning occurs through overcoming mistakes. He promotes a supportive workplace and values the importance of work-life balance. With over twenty years of experience in university corporate management in Europe and Australia, David has implemented changes in lean management across various settings and organizations. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and a Master of Business Administration.
